The introductions and commentaries presented here are taken from the series of small liturgical booklets on Holy Week and Pascha, published by the Department of Religious Education of the Orthodox Church in America. They provide a general introduction and guide to the major themes of each day of the liturgical cycle that begins with Lazarus Saturday and culminates with the services of Pascha and Bright Week.
